Funders and Supporters
Funding for the DFC comes from the public, private, and business communities. Direct funders for our partners are listed on their own websites; the following list includes funders of the Developing Families Center umbrella.
Our land and building were donated by Hechinger Enterprises; building renovation and programs were funded by the DC Department of Housing and Community Development and private donations.
Additional public sector funding comes from the Federal Healthy Start Program through the DC Department of Health, the Early Head Start Program, and a Child Care Block Grant through the DC Department of Human Services Office of Early Childhood.
