On labor day we celebrated all of the women who have come to us in labor!  Our health fair was a big success, thanks to all who came out to celebrate with us.

Participants received free health screenings, played games, and picked up back-to-school supplies.  Watch this site for future health fairs, community cookouts, and other events.

Gardening days

Join us in the DFC garden from 4-6 pm on Tuesdays to learn about gardening and harvest vegetables to take home!  Children of all ages are welcome.

Community Advisory Board meetings

Held on the third Wednesday of each month, the Community Advisory Board meetings present an opportunity for clients and community members to influence what goes on at the DFC.  Interested individuals must apply to become CAB members;  contact Lillie at (202) 398-2007 ext. 1110 for an application.
